Muuta/About:Ihana malli, oli aika pitkään puikoilla, ja muutamia kuukausia kokonaan tauolla, kun meni hermot. Palmikko-osuus piti tehdä kahdesti ennen kuin sain sen kohdilleen, mutta kyllä kannatti säätää, olen tosi tyytyväinen valmiiseen takkiin! 

Lovely model, took me really long to finish this, it was hibernating for several months. Had to do the cable part twice to get it right.. But now I´m really happy with this!

This will be a christmass present for someone, third version of this shawl, and I still LOVE the pattern!!

Muuta/About: Tein varsista pidemmät kuin ohjeessa. Ihanaa lankaa, ehkä ylellisintä mitä minulla on koskaan ollut. Ihanat värit, mielettömän pehmeää, kaunis malli. Upeat siis kaikin puolin..:)

Made the cuffs longer than in the pattern. Love the yarn, I think it´s the most luxurious yarn I´ve ever had!

Muuta/About: Joululahjaksi nämäkin. Ihana malli, kohtalon oikkujen vuoksi tekeillä on toisetkin tällaiset, pidemmillä varsilla vain.

These are presents also. Love the pattern, easy to follow and the socks look great! I´m making a second pair, but with longer cuffs.

Muuta/About: Niklas varasi tämän itselleen heti kun näki sen valmiina, ja piposta tulikin sen kokoinen että se olisi kenelle tahansa muulle liian iso. Hyvä että kelpasi, ja ahkeraan käyttöön pipo onkin jo päässyt.

Thank you so much Emma!

I came home late saturday-evening, and noticed a note that the last of two packages that Emma sent me had arrived. I couldn´t get it until today, but it really was worth the wait! Look at all the lovely things Emma sent me!! The two packages are combined in these pictures.

First of all, the bag. It so lovely, big enough for all that you´ll need to carry around the town, and it looks just like a giant bee! I love love love it! The yarns were on the first package. Two skeins of Regia uni in yellow, two skeins of Regia Nation colour in a love Huffelpuff black-and-yellow, and on big skein of Rico Desingn Suberba Klassik in black. Now I really don´t have to buy more sockyarn for a while..;) In the first package there was also a really funny rowcounter that is shaped like a schoolbus, a beautiful measuring tape  and a card. In the second package with the bag came 2,5 mm bamboo DPN´s, tea, two ice cube moulds, something I think is soap, really cute bee-figures and four beautiful stitchmarkers made by Emma her self! All thing were lovely, thank you so much Emma! You have been really great spoiler! Here is a close-up to all the little things:

Hi from Mikkeli!

It has been quite a busy week, we arrived at my DH´s parents home in Mikkeli last sunday, I had one day time to breathe and then I had to drive to our second summerplace in Savonlinna, where my dad was with his family. They were going to see an opera, "Rigoletto" on wednesday-evening, and I was babysitting my little sister. I was at Savonlinna till yestareday. Now I´m back in Mikkeli. Today we had a lovely weather for some horse-sports, one of Finlands biggest trotting-competitions was this weekend here, some wery fast horses I have to say! Take a look!



I haven´t had time to do any knitting at all, but maybe next week will be bit quiter. At least I hope so! Here are some pics from our cabin in Savonlinna.

Back from the island

We came home last evening, and my head still doesn´t quite get that I´m back in the city.. So 

I´m sorry if I don´t make any cense..:) 

Our vacation was very love, the weather was ok most of the time, but it also rained.. But I like rain and it´s good for the environment, so I´m not sad at all.. We barbequed a lot, had great company (neighbors and my little brother wiht his girlfriend), little gardening, some fixing up the place, very relaxing indeed. I didn´t have the time or the will to knit more than a few lines, so nothing new to show you guys today, sorry.

But I do have some pictures to show you, so here we go!

I finally got my DH to photograph my FO´s, so here´s quite many at the same time. So without further ado, here we go! The items are in the order they were finished.

Else: This was made by my mum last summer, it´s bit small 

but good for warm days in our cabin.

About: This is for my DH. The sleeves are made by the size M, 

and body lot´s smaller. DH would have fitted twice in the 

sweater if I had made it according to the pattern..But it´s 

ok now, and DH is happy with it!

About: I LOVE this one! I´ve allready used it a lot,

About: When I saw Nasti´s version from Mrs. Darcy made 

from this yarn, I knew I had to copy the combination! I bought 

this yarn from sale, and had been wondering what to make 

from it. I like this a lot!

Pattern: Stripy pullover, my own

 Designer: Me!

   Yarn: Gjestal Topp t´tå (100% superwash wool)

Needles: 7mm

Size: small, to fit me and my monkey arms

About: This is the first pullover ever, that I have 

made totally without pattern. I think it turned out 

great, I like the colourcombo, and it´s warm to wear 

on cooler summer evenings..

Kuten yllä taisi jo tulla ilmi, lähdemme huomenna miehen ja koiran kanssa kahdeksi viikoksi mökillemme suomenlahdella olevaan saareen! Ihanaa, ei kiirettä, (toivonmukaan) hyvää säätä, pientä remontoimista, grillailua, neulomista ja juhannuksen viettoa! Voiko ihminen enempää toivoa..:) Pääsen kyllä miehen lelujen avulla nettiin, mutta tuskin jaksan kuitenkaan blogia päivittää mitenkään erityisemmin. Palataan linjoille kuun lopussa, hyvää ja aurinkoista juhannusta kaikille lukijoilleni!

As I mentioned above, I, DH and our lovely dog are going to our summercabin tomorrow. It´s on an island at the sea, so I´m expecting to relax, (hopefully) enjoy sunny weather, some carpenterwork around the place, lot´s of knitting, barbequeing, and enjoying the midsummers celebration! What more can a girl wish! I´ll be able to get online, so I promise to post at least something, so nobody at Hogwarts get´s worried about me. Sunny weathers to all my readers!

Suomalaista villaa kerrattuna MerinoSilkillä. 30g, metrejä en ole mittaillut. Tykkään.

Finish wool plied with MerinoSilk. 30 grams. I like.
Springtime. 

Merinovillaa kolmessa eri sävyssä, kerrattu itsellään. Vain 23g. tätä.  Tykkään kovin.

Cloud.

Juulilta ostettua kuitusekoitusta, siinä on ainakin villaa, ja sitten kaikkea muuta. Väri on ihana, ja langastakin tykkään paljon. 25g sain tätä aikaiseks, materiaalia olisi vielä toiseen mokomaan. Tämäkin kerrattiin MerinoSilkillä.

This one is made from fibermixture I bought from Juuli. I has wool and everything else..:) Love the colour, the yarn turned up to be lovely also. 25 grams, and I have 30 grams of fiber left. This was also plied with MerinoSilk.

Maanantaina pakettien esittelyä, ja kaikkea muuta, mikä olisi pitänyt esitellä jo ajat sitten. Nyt lukemaan..eipäs kun pakkaamaan äitienpäiväreissua varten. Autossa ehtii lukea. nih.

On monday: packages, FO´s and everything else I should have blogged weeks ago. Now I´m off to stydy..no, to pack for our mothersday trip. I can study in the car. phaf.

Hyvää pääsiäistä!!

Tämä pääsiäinen on kulunut perinteistä poiketen ihan kotona kahdestaan miehen kanssa, yleensä olemme viettäneet pääsiäista mökillämme Tahkolla. Tänä vuonna työt asettuivat esteeksi, mutta ei se näin jälkikäteen ole paljon hermittanut. Säät ovat olleet ihan hyvät, koiran kanssa olemme tehneet pitkiä kävelyitä.:)

Myös neulonnan osalta olen saanut paljon aikaiseksi. Mutta esitellään ensin ihana paketti, jonka sain loppuviikosta!



Kolme kerää Kitten Mohairia ihan minun värissäni, paketillinen Prinessan unelma-nimistä teetä, pääsiäisnameja seka kaunis kortti! Kiitos jälleen SNYni, aivan ihana paketti! Langat kuiskivat haluavansa jonkinmalliseski huiviksi, teetä olen jo nauttinutkin useamman kupillisen, ja karkit ovat kadonneet parempiin suihin jo aikoja sitten..:)

Minulla tuntuu olevan meneillään jonkin sortin huivimania. Kaksi huivia olen saanut valmiiksi, Turun käsityömessuilta ostin ainoastaan huivilankaa, eikä mitkään muut keskeneräiset kiinnosta pätkääkään.. Mutta ei tämä ole huono tauti ollenkaan, huiveja ei ole koskaan liikaa..

Kommentti: Kiri on hyväksi havaittu ja turvallinen malli, tämä taitaa olla kolmas versio siitä, joten osaisin tällasien tehdä varmaan silmät ummessa..:) Tarkoitus oli tehdä niin iso kuin kerästä riittää, mutta olisi siitä ehkä vielä hieman isomman saanut, lankaa jäin n.20g. Mutta ihan riittävän kookas se on tällaisenaankin. Tykkään väreistä, jotka kuvassa ovat kylläkin hieman liian sinertävät.

Kommentti: Ihana malli, nopea tehdä, tein tämän kolmessa illassa valmiiksi. Tein täysin ohejeen mukaan, joten kokokin on täysin sama mitä ohjeen huiveissa. Ajattelin että tämä on harjoitteluversio, nyt on puikoilla samanlainen josta aion tehdä suuremman, lankaa siihen on varattuna 220g. Mutta siitä lisää sitten kun se valmistuu..:) Värit ovat upeat, niiden takia oikeastaan langan ostinkin. Voi olla että pidän tämän itselläni..



Sitten hieman vanhempaa valmistunutta.

Kommentti: Kirjava lanka ja palmikko-pitsi-kuvio ei ehkä ole ihan paras mahdollinen, mutta sukat ovat sopivat ja lämpimät, joten ihan onnistunut väliprojeksti. Nämä valmistuivat jo pari kuukautta sitten, olen vain unohtanut esitellä..

Muutto on jo onnellisesti takanapäin, muutama matto vielä puuttuu ja tavarat hakevat paikkojaan, mutta kyllä tämä alkaa jo kodilta tuntua. Koirakin on jo sopeutunut, jokirannassa on onneksi ihan hyvät liikuntareitit koiranulkoilutukseen. Tähän loppuun vielä muutama kuva eiliseltä lenkiltä, kun sattui kamera mukaan..
